An electrical installation condition report (EICR) will give you a detailed report of the current condition of your electrics within your property, it is worthwhile getting an approved electrician to check your installation.

What’s involved?

An ElCR takes between 3-4 hours depending on property size. We will carry out a thorough inspection of everything from the service head to the end of all circuits, checking everything from fuses sizes to cable integrity to ensure it is in a suitable condition and complies with safety regulations. If we find something that doesn’t comply we will take a picture and issue a free itemised quotation to solve any issues you may have.

How often do I need an EICR?

In a rental property it has been a legal requirement since 1st June 2020 that you should have an inspection every 5 years or on change of occupancy.

Otherwise, every 10 years for a owner occupied house.
